The SA8000 standard is the central document of our work at SAI. It is one of the world’s first auditable social certification standards for decent workplaces, across all industrial sectors. It is based on conventions of the ILO, UN and national law, and spans industry and corporate codes to create a common language to measure social compliance. It takes a management systems approach by setting out the structures and procedures that companies must adopt in order to ensure that compliance with the standard is continuously reviewed. Those seeking to comply with SA8000 have adopted policies and procedures that protect the basic human rights of workers. Below are the nine elements in the SA8000 Standard:
Since 2012, SATRA Membership
SATRA Technology Centre (SATRA) is a research and technology centre. Founded as the British Boot, Shoe and Allied Trades Research Association in 1919, it has since extended its expertise to cover other consumer product industry sectors including furniture, safety products, clothing, floorcoverings, leathergoods, homeware, and cleaning technology. It is partly funded through membership, which includes 1,600 companies in over 70 countries.
SATRA’s activities include research, material and product evaluation, consumer product and personal protective equipment testing, management systems and consultancy, international quality systems, quality assurance, publications, information services, and the production and sale of test equipment.

REACH is a regulation of the European Union, adopted to improve the protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemicals, while enhancing the competitiveness of the EU chemicals industry. It also promotes alternative methods for the hazard assessment of substances in order to reduce the number of tests on animals.

ISO 9001:2008 is the International Standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS). It provides our company with a set of principles that ensure a common sense approach to the management of our business active ties to consistently achieve our customer satisfaction.

ISO 14001 Certification is an Environmental Management System (EMS) Standards – This standard is a specific standard for Environmental Management system. This is to demonstrate sound environmental performance of the organization by controlling the impacts of our activities, products and services on the environment, consistent with our environmental policy and objectives and Complying with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Since 2016, Our Tannery is OHSAS 18001 Certified Company
OHSAS 18001 is an internationally applied British Standard for occupational health and safety management systems.
Since 2016, Our Tannery is Member of LWG Certified Member
LWG was formed as collaboration between footwear brands and tanneries to assess the compliance and environmental performance of tanners. It also aims to promote sustainable and appropriate environmental business practices within the footwear and leather industries.
